Unmanned Systems For Environmental And Water Resources
The mission of the Unmanned Systems Technical Committee is to collect, synthesize, and communicate knowledge about unmanned systems (aerial, ground, subsurface, and surface) through informed, state of the practice technical understanding, and provide best practices recommendations for existing and emerging applications appropriate for environmental and water resources engineering. The technical committee will additionally document and summarize challenging issues facing unmanned systems, such as the regulation and usage of unmanned aerial systems in the National Airspace. A broader scope of the committee will be to inform current and future public and professional policy recommendations, and where appropriate, facilitate effective outreach and education efforts through an online website.
