Preliminary Program Released and Registration Opens for ASCE International Conference on Transportation & Development

The preliminary program for ASCE International Conference on Transportation & Development (ICTD 2016) was released on January 6. The conference will be held from June 26-29, 2016 in Houston. Registration is open, with early bird rates available till May 11, 2016. ASCE ICTD is the premier event of transportation and development professionals, and is the flagship conference of the Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The conference offers a rich program on a wide range of transportation and development topics organized in 40 sessions under 5 parallel tracks, and up to 24 hours of PDHs. Additional content will be presented through poster displays in the Exhibit Hall. Plenary keynote speeches will be delivered by six local, national, and international leaders in development and key modes of transportation.
The conference program includes technical tours of Houston Transtar Traffic Operation Center, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and Houston Uptown Management District. In addition, there will be multiple pre-conference events including a short course on Updates to 2010 Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), Envision Credential Workshop, and TransportationCamp Texas 2016 - "The Unconference," University Transportation Center Panel Session, and What I Wish I Knew session for Younger Members. The conference will offer multiple networking opportunities with fellow attendees at meals and networking breaks, awards luncheon, and a preconference ice-breaker reception. The networking opportunities will be centered around a bustling exhibit hall to help attendees learn about what new products and services exhibitors have to offer. All in all, the conference will offer an excellent opportunity to share experiences, reveal innovation, and discuss and learn about the latest issues and trends in transportation and development.
